About the event
The cost of fashion, especially fast fashion, goes way beyond the price tag. According to the United Nations Environment Programme, the fashion industry accounts for up to 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions, as well as significant pollution, plastic use, water extraction and biodiversity impacts. Learn how you can reduce your fashion waste by taking this series of workshops by lifelong seamstress Frances Cooke. This is the second workshop of the series and it focuses on embroidery. The previous workshop covered darning and the third one will cover patching. So whether you have a hole in a sock, a tear in a sweater or a ripped jacket seam, this is the opportunity to join the ranks of textile activists worldwide. REGISTER HERE
