Join us for an unforgettable conversation with Dr. Joshua A. Miele, acclaimed author of Connecting Dots – A Blind life. Dr. Miele is a prominent blind scientist, designer, author, and disability scholar. He writes, advises, and collaborates widely on accessible design, disability-inclusive research methods, and the disability experience. His inventions address a wide variety of accessible information challenges in education, employment, and entertainment, and he writes with humor and directness about his own disability experience.

This free event is presented by Silicon Valley Reads in partnership with Santa Clara University and the Santa Clara City Library.

 

In this powerful on-stage interview, Joshua Miele will discuss his memoir as well as his personal and professional journey from losing his sight at a young age to becoming a pioneer and thought leader in the design of accessible technology. 

 

Refreshments will be available following the talk and copies of Connecting Dots will be available for purchase. Joshua is happy to sign copies of his book.
